The name Cottingley Bar remains but the building has long gone. |
Situated near the pseudo-Elisabethan mansion of Bankfield, the old toll booth was built in 1823 and was actually relocated from its original site at Cottingley Bridge. |
The modern day Cottingley Bar site is currently undergoing a massive change as extensive road works are being carried out on the much debated relief road. |
