The Parade in Cottingley has a good mix of shops that make it unecessary to travel out of the area for daily needs.
Local residents are well catered for with a mini market, taxi rank, post office, 3 different types of take-out food shops, an off-license, chemist, hair salon, butchers, general store and a newsagents.
There is also a bakery at Littlelands and further shops in Cottingley Old Village.
Recently, flower pots and hanging baskets have been planted to brighten up the Parade and has seen Cottingley entered in a national competition for best kept towns.
