It was decided in the mid 1960s that the old Cottingley church would be relocated closer to the centre of the parish and the site at Littlelands was purchased. |
Three years later it was consecrated and has served its public ever since. Although the building was to be new one of the old church bells and the War Memorial were carefully transported to the new site. |
The top photograph was taken at 10.30am on the 26th September 2002 when work was being started on the new War Memorial. |
Pictured bottom left is the Old St Michaels Vicarage which was stituated where the Old Vicarage Close houses are today. |
